I used some Nestie Scalloped Circles I had in my scrap bin and some strips of brown paper I had out to make a little tree for this little guy to sit in. Isn’t he cute?
This other card uses Yellow Roses (my favorite flowers in case anyone was wondering). :)It is layered on Oval Nesties and the ribbon is the sage faux suede. YUMMO! It matches the green in the Sugardrop DP perfectly. The base of the card is our thick acetate.
The saying one both is from Happy Greetings – a great little (inexpensive) versatile set for this time of year and stamped in Palette Noir.
Happy Memorial Day! I hope you’re taking some time to enjoy your day off and to ultimately remember why we all have this day off.
This card is serving double duty today. As I mentioned, PCP is hosting a Stampin’ Out Alzheimer’s fundraiser beginning TODAY and IHP and the IHP Design Team are sponsoring a challenge. So this card is a combination DT Challenge and my SOA Challenge card. You can play along to get a change to win a Flower Soft assortment (hand selected by me!) that is valued at over $30. The winner will get:
All you have to do to play along is donate at least $5 to the SOA fundraiser HERE and then make a card or project that uses some sort of textured flower as your focal point. It can be Flower Soft or flock or glitter or textured paper or any other flower that is textured.
Additionally all SOA donors are invited to use an exclusive 10% off coupon through May 31 in our store off all items, including new and on sale items. And, as always free US shipping on orders $40 and over! But, you have to donate and login over at SOA to see our ad to get the code!

Just a quick note that yesterday I listed 114 Stampin’ Up! items for sale on eBay. Everything is listed for $5 and I just want it GONE! So, if you’re looking for some SU! deals, please go check them out! I also have TONS of DSP, 12x12 cardstock and embellishments that I will be looking to get rid of once these auctions all close. Boy is my mailman really gonna hate me in about a week! So, if you’re looking for something, please let me know. I’ll give you a great deal!!
Happy Friday! I hope you have a nice Memorial Day planned!
I’ve got a few things to talk about. First of all, how cute is this owl?? He is called a Feltie and he is from the new Sassafras Lass line Jungle Bungle. He comes in a package with a few friends and they are are adorable! The base of this card is SU! Garden Green, layered with SU! Summer Sun. The little tree tag behind him is a sticker from Jungle Bungle. There are some great shapes on this sheet and makes for a super quick card. The ribbon is the Brown Leaf Vine and was the perfect tie-in to the tree/owl theme. The greeting is from Chelsea Sentiments and I stamped it in Palette Burnt Umber and Sunflower. Cute eh?

I told you I had a lot of birthday cards to make this month! And, fair warning…July is even worse!!!
This is a super simple card but I love the fuzziness of it! Those pink swirls are super soft velvet Class A Peels (the same pack I used to make this acrylic block picture frame) and the dots on the ribbon are a little fuzzy too. I was sitting here petting this card earlier! Haha!!!
Yes, ANOTHER birthday! Now you see why I needed all of those cards, right?
Today is inaugural DT member Sarah’s birthday. Even though she’s not on the team anymore I wanted to wish her a very happy day. Her SCS name is Sairabee (thus the bee reference) so please head over to her blog and wish her a happy one!
Happy Friday!! I told you you’d see this greeting again!! I love black and white with a bright color. I just love how it pops right out at you.
For this easy card I used PTI Lemon Tart at my base, a piece of Floral Garden paper and then created a tag from my oval Nesties, alternating circle, scallop, circle so that the yellow scallop would be against the black for some additional contrast. I stamped the greeting from Chelsea Sentiments in Palette Noir and Paris Lights. I know I’ve been just using this one greeting but this is one of my favorite greeting sets. I love the different fonts in the set and the variety of sayings.
The ribbon is my faux suede favorite in yellow this time. Between the texture on the designer paper and the softness of the suede ribbon, this card is very tactile and super simple to put together.
I hope you’ll try it! Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your weekend!
First off, a giant Happy Birthday to DT member Dee. She is celebrating her birthday so please stop by her blog and send her well wishes! I'm so glad to have her on the team and wish her good health in the coming year!
I’m loving my rediscovered fabric flowers from years ago on QVC. This time, instead of Sparkly Flock or Flower Soft, I used Stickles to make their centers.
The yellow ones are filled with Orange Stickles and the white one has Yellow Stickles. This is a pretty quick and easy card, although with laying the ribbon down and drying time on the Stickles it couldn’t quite count as a Five Minute Friday card.
The base is SU! YoYo Yellow with a strips of black and white down the middle. The ribbon is this stitched grosgrain and the greeting is from Chelsea Greetings and is stamped with Palette Noir. I’ve got a lot of birthday cards to send out this month so I’m sure you’ll be seeing this greeting a lot!
Thanks for stopping by! I’ll see you again on Friday!
Happy Friday! It’s wedding season and weddings are a great way to use up some of that Valentine’s Day paper you got. For this card I used a piece from Basic Grey’s Bittersweet collection called Mousse. YUMMY! I love the colors and the swirly hearts.
The top ivory piece is embossed with my Flower Impressability and then a small scrap of the Venise Ivory lace is laid down on top of where the two meet. I think the lace makes it look so elegant.
The little tag at the bottom was made from my Long Scalloped Rectangles. I ran it through twice so that I could adjust the height of the scalloped rectangle. I love how versatile Nesties are!!
My mother doesn’t read my blog (I would be completely bowled over if she even knew what a blog was!) so it is safe to post her card today.
This is a pretty quick acetate card. The put a piece of white cs on the back so I had something to write on and then piece the front together from papers from Upsy Daisy’s Tweet line. I love these little birds!! Both panels are from Calm and I just used the front and back of the paper. Perfect coordination! The color match perfectly with the reversible light blue/parrot green ribbon so I made a little bow to show off both sides of the ribbon.
I placed little pearls in the centers of the flowers and on the little ends of the swirl under the greeting. The words and swirl are from a cutie little set that is perfect for this time of year called Happy Greetings and are stamped in Palette Burnt Umber.
This is being mailed off today with her gift. Hope you’ve made your cards already!
Happy, happy Friday and happy May Day (whichever one you celebrate, if any)!
My thumb is still swollen so I couldn’t do a lot of stamping this week. *pout* But I did manage to pull this out of my hat. Isn’t this froggy just the cutest? He is from the SparkleClear set called Froggy. Imagine that!
My base is SU! Gable Green with a Cuttlebugged background. I stamped the little frog in Palette Noir, colored him with my Prismacolor pencils and used my colorless blender to shade him. His little spots have Eucalyptus Stickles on them for some shimmer.
The greeting is from Mini Messages and is stamped on a tag from Ribbon Tags Trio that I sponged the edge of. Googly eyes and some Lime Glimmer ribbon were the finishing touches for this little guy. What do you think?
Don’t forget the 10% off coupon expires on National Scrapbook Day – midnight EST on Saturday May 2.
