DT Day: Vera

Hi everyone. Vera here today. Am normally, not one to take classes, but with my mojo been on a slump, I decided to take  Online Card Classes Stretch Your Stamps 2. And, boy, this is just what I needed to get my creativity going.

I created this card using one of the technique I learned from the class.

This card is so much fun to make and totally brings back my love of using watercoloring. I used the gorgeous flower cluster from Paper Smooches Blossoming Buds and the sentiment is combination from Avery Elle Oh Yeah and To The Point set. Finished it off with a couple enamel dots from Doodlebugs Bumblebee Sprinklers pack.

That's all from me today. Hope you enjoy today's card. Thank you so much for swinging by here.

DT Day: Tracy

Hi there, it's Tracy sharing a fun, unisex card with you today. I was inspired by CAS(e) this Sketch #78. I color-blocked three panels on the right of my card to make everything pop, but kept the rest really simple.

My sentiment is from Avery Elle's Handwritten Notes set. Isn't it sweet? I added a couple enamel stickers to finish my card off. And now it's ready to stick in an envelope! Simply the Best Recipe Cardstock: MFT sweet tooth; PTI orange zest, summer sunrise, lemon tart Stamps: Avery Elle Handwritten Notes Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Hero Arts Orange Soda Accessories: Doodlebug Birthday Girl Sprinkles enamel stickers; dimensional dots

DT Day: Lori

Hi, IHP fans! It’s Lori here today with a simple and cheery springtime design.

Hand lettering is such a hot trend right now and WPlus9’s new Hand Lettered Hello set is perfect for bringing that handwritten look into your designs. On this card, I stamped one of the set’s large “hello” sentiments in green pigment ink across a white panel, then, after a little going back and forth between all of the choices in the set, added the “a note to say” above it in the same green ink.

I added a bright pop of color to the card by cutting the panel just beneath the stamped sentiment. I edged the panel with a narrow strip of bright pink cardstock, then added a strip of bright rainbow striped paper from Doodlebug Design behind it. I added the remaining strip from the white panel at the bottom, then adhered the stamped panel to a green card base. A few yellow enamel dots add a final pop of color to the simple design.

DT Day: Lori

Hi, IHP fans! It’s Lori here for my turn on the IHP blog. My project shows off a new addition to the IHP store—pigment inks from Avery Elle. They’re another great ink option and work really well with both solid image and sentiment stamps, as you’ll see on the birthday card I’m sharing today.

I used Avery Elle’s Aim High stamp set for my card. I stamped one of the set’s arrow images in the Mint to Be ink and the birthday sentiment in Aquamarine ink on the round panel. The stamped panel is layered over a piece of green dotted paper from the Doodlebug Designs Kraft in Color-Color paper pad and a pair of coordinating fishtail flag strips. I added a trio of green enamel dots to finish off the design.

DT Challenge: Playing with your food

ihp1212

Hello!  Welcome to this month’s DT Challenge!   As we all know, food plays a HUGE part in the holidays.  I’m a big cookie baker for Christmas (that’s this week’s project) and so this month we decided to focus on food at the holidays – whether it’s gifting, table settings, recipes, anything food related goes for this month’s challenge.

So, I made a quick neighbor gift!  I packaged up some Hersey Kisses (these are dark green, mint truffle ones…mmmm) in a nugget tin, cut a belly band from North Pole paper, wrapped some white metallic string around it and made a tag using more North Pole paper and Paper Smooches Warm Hearts set, stamped in Memento ink.  Then I colored the snowman with some Icicle and Candy Cane Stickles (still on sale for just $1 each!).  I attached everything using i {stick} papers redline tape (more is on order, just click the restock notify link) and my favorite Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

It’s a quick and simple project that you could easily mass produce for classroom gifts, neighbors, church friends or anything you’d like to pass a little sweetness onto.  Kisses and Nuggets both fit nicely in the tins.  :)

Be sure to check the rest of the team’s projects:
