NSR: Pond picture

pondjune

No stamping post today.  I just wanted to post an updated picture of my pond with all the fish and the froggy in it.  You can click on it for a larger view.

Everything is in bloom and they’re all quite hungry now that the weather is warm.

That’s it!  Hope you’re enjoying your weekend!  Thanks for popping in!

Five Minute Friday Apple Thanks

fmfthankyouapple

Happy Friday!!  Today I have a very clean and simple card for you.  This apple stamp is from the Designer Fruit (Sparkle Clear) set.  I love these Sparkle Clear sets…they are a great price and come with some bling!  I stamped it in Palette Noir and then colored it with my Red and Melon Spica pens

I used my Nesties to make the little frame and then stamped the greeting from Chelsea Greetings also in Palette Noir.  I finished it off with some red/white dot ribbon.  Easy peasy!

I hope you have a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Yes, more birthday wishes

birthdaywishes

Why are there so many birthdays??  I’m getting a head start on my July card making.  I normally have one day (around the 25th of each month) that I write out my cards for the following month.  That way they’re all ready to go in the mail on time.  But in order for me to be ready for July I need to start now.

This card started by looking at CPS14 but didn’t quite end up working for that.  What I don’t think you can see in the picture is that designer paper is clear embossed and glittered.  Love that!  I’m not crazy about the little gem that I stuck on the ribbon bow…I think it makes it look like a belt but once it was stuck, it was staying!

I am still loving the Shawl lace paper from SEI and the crocheted flowers are starting to grow on me.  The tag is from my trusty Nesties Tag Trio and of course, stamped with Palette Burnt Umber with the birthday wishes stamp from Chelsea Sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Five Minute Friday Feltie Hi!

fmffeltiehi

Maybe I should just start calling Fridays “Feltie Fridays” instead of “Five Minute Friday.”  I think this is three weeks in a row, isn’t it?  I can’t help it!  Can you blame me?  These little critters are just SO cute.

I love the brightness of this card and it was so simple to throw together.  Two little Felties and their branch and some Spring All Over Glittery Alphabet stickers, some super cute paper and voila!  I tell you, the most time consuming part of this card was hunting down the exclamation point on the alphabet sheet!

So that’s it.  What else?  Umm…I’m expecting some new goodies this coming week from Basic Grey and Zva Creative.  YUMMO!  So be sure to check back next week.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Ta Ta For Now Balloon

tataballoon

OK, I am so in love with this Verve set.  I know I don’t sell it but I’m still in love with it and thanks to DT member Carolyn, I now have it.  Isn’t she a sweetie?  She knew I totally wanted and knew I am on a self imposed spending freeze, saving up money for my big 35th birthday trip to Niagara Falls in 42 days (but who is counting, right?)  Thanks!!!

So anyway, this little beauty showed up day before yesterday (Ron, the mailman delivered it before he hauled all my packages away) and I had to play with it.  It reminds me of The Wizard of Oz balloon.  And, a little side note, I *really* want to take a hot air balloon ride but at $500 bucks a person, it will have to wait for a little longer.

I paper pieced this guy with the same Heidi Grace paper (the backside this time) that I used on Ron’s mailbox.  (I think I’m making Ron famous now.  I doubt he knows it.)  I put little gems in the centers of a few of the flowers and some larger gems on the Nesties Tag Trio.  The ribbon is some of the new 100% blue silk.  It is LUCIOUS and so easy to tie!!!

The basket on the balloon is colored with the new Baby Blue Spica pen and the clouds are all colored with my trusty Clear Spica.  I sponged the ground with Viridian Leaf Palette and the clouds and greeting are stamped in Ballet Blue Palette.  The greeting is of course from my favorite, All Occasions Messages

Now…I just need to find someone who is going away to send this to!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Congratulations to Ceal Pritchett! Congratulations!!! Her blog is Simply Beautiful and I think this card is also simply beautiful!  She is the winner for the challenge that I hosted this past week during the Stampin’ Out Alzheimer’s fundraiser.  Her FlowerSoft prize package is on the way!

To everyone, thank you so much for playing. I really enjoyed looking at all of your creations!

Also, I’d like to send goodies to all of you who posted that you donated on my SOA thread.  Please email me your address so I can get your mystery goodie box in the mail!

ronwalk2 An update on the mailman…here he is carry my 20 some-odd pounds of packages.  Now you see why I baked him cookies and made him the little mailbox gift.  *grin*

Showing the mailman some love

packages

So let me tell you how much I LOVE the Carrier Pickup service that the USPS offers.  I use it almost daily and I usually kind of feel bad as my little old mailman schleps my bags of packages on the rest of his walking route.  Why feel bad?  Well, I can literally see the post office down the street from my front steps but I HATE going to post office.  I LOVE my postal software and print all of my own postage.

Normally I have one or two grocery bags full of shipments from store orders.  But this past Friday I had almost 80 eBay auctions close (I was selling all of my Stampin’ Up! sets) and so Saturday I had 3 grocery bags full of packages.  But, for Monday I have 2 giant BB&B bags.  They are huge.  These two big bags are about 25 pounds of packages and include 3 big flat rate boxes.

So in an attempt to win back some favor from Ron the Mailman (or at least prevent him from “going postal” on me!!!) I made this little Target mailbox.   I covered it in this Heidi Grace paper and was so pleased to find that the reversible blue/brown ribbon was a really good match for the paper.  I finished it off by stamping the greeting from Chelsea Greetings in Palette Prussian Blue, which was also a great match for the dark blue in the paper.  I’ve got to either find some time to bake some cookies on Monday night or get to the store for some candy to put in here.

Check back later for a SOA wrap-up.  I’ll have our Challenge winner from the event as well as my drawing for my own little prize for my blog reader contributors.

Thanks for stopping by!!
