CHA is only a little over 3 weeks away!  YIKES!  So, I am having a HUGE, HUGE pre-CHA Clearance sale, which has caused a flurry of orders (almost 100 pounds of boxes that the mailman hauled away since Tuesday).  Here are some of the highlights:

o All Unity $12 or less, including store kits and co-brands
o Unity Itty Bittys $3.25
o Our Craft Lounge (except the latest releases) are all $11 or less
o All open stock 12x12 only 25¢ per sheet

mason Lastly, NSR, I’d like to introduce you to Mason…a dog in Kentucky who was shot at point blank range on Monday night.  There is a ChipIn set up to help with his vet costs.  If you donate anything, even a dollar, please let me know and the next time you order I will throw in some goodies as a thank you.  This poor, sweet boy needs our help!!

Thank you and have a great weekend!

DT Challenge: Sensational Summer & Pre-CHA Clearance SALE

Hello!  Welcome to this month’s DT Challenge:  Sensational Summer!

As you may have guessed from my post on Friday about all the strawberries we picked, summer to me involves lots of harvesting from my own garden and going to the local farmers’ markets and pick your own farms.  So, when this idea came up, I knew I wanted to do something with strawberries.

So, I grabbed my Summer Garden set from The Petal Press (one of IHP’s exclusive stamp lines) and stamped the strawberry plant in Memento black and then colored them with Copics.  Then I cut a circle for the center of the plate from Dutch Mustard Soup 6x6 paper.  I used my Xyron to apply adhesive to the front of the images and then stuck them to the BACK of the plate, before sealing with some clear spray.  It’s hand-washable but I wouldn’t submerge it.

And by the way, the chocolate dipped strawberries were totally delicious.  They were juicy and red all the way through.  Mmm.  I wish I still had them but they’re done for the season now.  Cherries are next up!  I do make an amazing cherry pie!

Be sure to hop along and see what the rest of the DT has for you:

Easy Canvas Prints Giveaway!

easycanvasprintsI have something VERY special today!  It’s sure to brighten your Monday for sure!  As crafters and more importantly, scrapbookers, we take A LOT of pictures, don’t we?  *grin*  Sometimes one picture is so special to you that it deserves to be seen all the time, not just when you look through your scrapbook.  Right?  And that’s how I felt about this picture (and a handful of others).  (BTW, I really love my dog.  Those of you who are regular readers know that already.)

canvas2
That’s Mr. Barbo, of course, overlooking a marsh on one of our many hikes together.  (Yes, my dog has his own Facebook page).

So, when I was contacted by EasyCanvasPrints.com to have a canvas made and to host a GIVEAWAY for an additional canvas on my blog, I jumped at the chance.  Honestly, the hardest part of the whole process was picking out which picture I wanted to use!

After that was done, the rest was easy!  It took me about 5 minutes to go through their upload wizard.  It’s only 4 simple steps with additional options if you need to edit your picture or apply effects and then your canvas is ready!  They even have an image gallery if you need some ideas and they do custom sizes, if you have a need for that!

A little over a week later, this arrived on my doorstep, nicely boxed and wrapped on the inside.

I made this video of me opening the box for you, so we can share the excitement together.  :)

So, as I said, they’re graciously giving me a canvas to give to one lucky winner!  There are 2 requirements.  You must like them on Facebook (and if you don’t already like IHP, why not?  Go do that now!) AND leave a comment on this post telling me what picture you would have turned into a canvas if you won.  You will win an 8”x10” canvas away with either gallery wrap thickness.  As I said in the video, I went with the 1-1/2” thickness so I can hang it on the wall without a frame or you can stand it up on a shelf or bookcase.

I will draw a random winner next week.  Deadline to enter is Sunday the 26th at midnight EST.  Good luck!

See you tomorrow for MORE NEWS and our monthly DT Challenge.  You’re not going to want to miss it, so come on back!

Five Minute Friday: Great Friend Vase

Happy Friday! Here’s a quick card for you using Thank You For Being My Friend and Paris. I stamped the images in Memento Black, colored with Copics, layered on rectangle Nesties and then finished it with some black crepe ribbon and Crackle Accents.

I’ve been bust baking lately and not stamping as much as I should. I LOVE the fresh fruits and veggies that this time of year brings and I love going to farms to pick your own. Here’s a sampling of what I’ve made with some of our 18 pounds of strawberries that we picked (2 weekend trips) and the peanut butter cookies I made for National Peanut Butter Cookie day!

Be sure to stop in next week. It's going to be a big week here including our monthly DT Challenge on Tuesday (and something else) AND a HUGE giveaway from a great company. You're not going to want to miss it, so be sure to check back here on Monday!

Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Five Minute Friday: The Petal Press Sympathy and giveaway

Hello!  Friday, already!?!  Oh my gosh!  This week flew by!

Today I’ve got two things for you…my card and a tip on a Mint Motif giveaway.

Now, I heard that there’s a Mint Motif giveaway over on Ashley N. Newell has one.  Head over there and get the details!

Five Minute Friday and SALE!

Happy Friday!  I’m off to go strawberry picking (again) later today.  Last Friday we picked over 10 pounds of strawberries at a local farm.  YUM!  So far this week I’ve made strawberry scones, strawberry-Nutella bars, strawberry handpies (wasn’t too happy with those), strawberry pancakes and 5 jars of jam.   But now I need more.  :)

Here’s a quick card for you.  I used some Echo Park A Walk In The Park paper (the dots are popped up with dimensionals) and then stamped the greeting from Thank You For Being My Friend (are you singing the theme from The Golden Girls now?) in Palette Cote D’Azure.  I added a white satin bow and that’s it!

But I know you’re here for news of the sale, right?  Well, right now ALL in stock Unity stamps are on complete markdown – most are 50% off.  NOTHING is more than $12.  Itty Bittys are only $3.25.  But this is while supplies last.  These items will not be restocked.  Check the sale page for the whole list of available items.  I’m starting to make room since CHA is only *gasp* 6 weeks away!

Have a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping in!
