DT Day: Lori

Hi, IHP fans!  It's Lori here today with a project using stamps from Winnie and Walter.  Winnie and Walter is a company that's new to IHP, so be sure to check them out if you haven't already done so.  I love their fabulous fonts and how you can mix and match stamps from different sets to come up with a sentiment for just about any and every occasion you can imagine!

I used stamps from the The Big, the Bold, and the Happy set to make this card.  I stamped the "hello friend" sentiment in teal pigment ink on an aqua circle.  The circle is layered over a plaid patterned panel and a mint green panel.  I ran a strip of solid pink cardstock across the card, just beneath the text.  I tucked a strip of white mini pom pom trim underneath the pink strip to add some texture to the card, then arranged a trio of pink enamel dots around the cardfront as an accent.  I think deciding on the placement of those tiny enamel dots was the part of the card that took the longest!

DT Day: Sarah

Hi IHP fans, Sarah here with a masculine card today. In the southern Hemisphere it's coming up to Father's Day, so it's time to use my all time fave guy set - The Man by Avery Elle

I've paired The Man with Ahoy There papers - not just for nautical cards! The cool angled panel is cut with the Custom Panels dies. I've used Memento Luxe inks in Nautical Blue, Peanut Brittle and Northern Pine.

I finished with some enamel dots and a little stitching.

DT Day: Sheri

Hello IHP fans!  It's Sheri here.  For today's card I pulled out some goodies from one of my many recent IHP hauls...couldn't resist that BIG Summer Move Sale!  How about you??

Embossing paste seems to be a very hot trend right now and I LOVE how it adds texture to your projects.  I created a fun "Celebrate" card with some Translucent Embossing paste by Dreamweaver along with the Tim Holtz's Stars Layered Stencil.  It was super easy and I love the fun glossy effect I got on the black card stock.  I then stamped a sentiment from Paper Smooches Buzz words set along with the some of the stars to keep the fun theme throughout the card.  I added some clear Wink of Stella and Glossy accents to the stars to make them sparkle and for some added dimension

DT Day: Lindsay

Hello, hello i {heart} papers fans! It is Lindsay here with you today, to share a clean and simple card using a couple of fun new Paper Smooches dies.  Hopefully you've already gotten a set or two for yourself, they go fast!
To begin on my card, I took a white card base, and impressed the dashed line, from the Dots & Dashes die set, onto the bottom front.  I then die cut multiples of the rounded bandage from the Band Aids die set out of white cardstock, covering it with Soft Vanilla ink from Hero Arts.

After stamping my sentiment from the Chit Chat set, I adhered the bandages haphazardly all over the front.  I then die cut them again out of red cardstock, and adhered the hearts to the centers of the band aids.  I then covered the hearts with a bit of shimmer, using the clear Wink of Stella glitter brush pen. Thank you for joining me today!  I hope you found a bit of inspiration to use some of those fun dies that I know we all hoard, er, have. Have a great day!

DT Day: Vera

Hi everyone. Vera here today. Am normally, not one to take classes, but with my mojo been on a slump, I decided to take  Online Card Classes Stretch Your Stamps 2. And, boy, this is just what I needed to get my creativity going.

I created this card using one of the technique I learned from the class.

This card is so much fun to make and totally brings back my love of using watercoloring. I used the gorgeous flower cluster from Paper Smooches Blossoming Buds and the sentiment is combination from Avery Elle Oh Yeah and To The Point set. Finished it off with a couple enamel dots from Doodlebugs Bumblebee Sprinklers pack.

That's all from me today. Hope you enjoy today's card. Thank you so much for swinging by here.

DT Day: Guest Lisa

It's DT Day with our guest Lisa and here's what she's got to say!

It's my last month as Guest Designer (sniffle sniffle) and yep, its Christmas in August............ I made split holiday thank you cards.

They are super easy and quick to whip up.  All I did was trim away 1 1/2" cutting along the fold and then straight down from the front only.  I used a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of designer paper  cut in two pieces, 4 1/4 x 4 and 4 1/4 x 1 1/2.  I cut the word die from cardstock and layered three together then used Wink Of Stella to make it gold.  I adhered only up to the front of the letter "k" to get the overlapped look along the bottom.

DT Day: Sarah

Hi IHP fans! Sarah here today with a retro feeling card using some Basic Grey paper and fun Paper Smooches stamps.

Brown and orange just screams 70's to me! I've used the Paws for a Cause stamp set (near and dear to IHP hearts!) stamping with Memento Luxe inks in Espresso Truffle and Morocco. The paper is Basic Grey Herbs and Honey

The focal layer is cut from vellum using the Stitched Journalling Card from Lawn Fawn. The flag comes from the same set. I've kept with the earthy feel, accenting with wood dots.

Guest DT: Welcome Ardyth Percy-Robb!

Today we welcome a new guest designer, Ardyth Percy-Robb for August and September.  Please stop over and see her first project for us: http://ardythpr.blogspot.com/2014/08/i-heart-papers-guest-designer.html?m=1

Here's what she has to say about herself:

I started stamping in 2006 after attending a Stampin' Up party. After a few years of posting my cards at Splitcoaststampers, I started my blog MASKerade and am now designing for CASology, The Card Concept, CAS-ual Fridays, Festive Friday, Muse and One Layer Simplicity. I'm currently at home with my growing kids (15 and 11), but was previously an accountant and VP Communications for a life insurance company. In my spare time, I'm a piano accompanist for 2 children's choirs, School Council Chair at my daughter's school, Treasurer of our school's nutrition program and Treasurer for our in-school child care.
