DT Day: Lori

Hi, IHP fans!  It's Lori here with a clean and simple--and sparkly--card using stamps from Avery Elle.

I used the big gem image from the Many Thanks set as my focal image.  It was stamped in black pigment ink on pink cardstock, then heat embossed.  Tog make the gem sparkly, I gave it a nice coating with my clear Wink of Stella pen.  I love these pens!  If you don't have one (or more) in your stash, you definitely want to pick up a few.  They add lots of sparkle with no drying time and no smearing, which is a big plus in my book.

I used dimensional dots to add the gem to the cardfront on top of a rose cardstock strip stamped with the "you" from the Many Thanks set and the "rock" from the We Go Together set.  A few disco silver  sequins finish off the design.

DT Day: Lindsay

Hi everyone!
Lindsay with you today, to share a fall card with you.  It's just now cooling off here in Northeastern Ohio, after a few days of hot and humid weather.  That had me thinking about fall, and the cool, crisp air it brings.  I love when the leaves turn, and their color is everywhere!  In that frame of mind, I created this, using fun products from mostly Paper Smooches, and a Lawn Fawn stamp set.

I started by die cutting the fun Large Leaves Dies, and inking them with Distress Inks.  I set those aside as I worked on my card base.  Taking the Interlocking Backgrounds set from Lawn Fawn, I gold heat embossed the funky chevron strip onto the front of a white note card.  I then die cut the words "you" and "are" from the Kudos Word Die set, using black cardstock, and adhered them to the card, adding the "too kind" from Chit Chat last.
Lastly, I adhered my leaves in a haphazard way, covered them with Wink of Stella glitter, and added glossy accents to my die cut words. I hope you were inspired to break out the die cuts, and inks, and try something fun on your latest projects.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

DT Day: Tracy

Hi there IHP fans! It's Tracy here with a simple and fun card for you. I think these would be easy to reproduce for a party or for thank you's- that's if you don't mind die-cutting the window. I'm playing along in a fun new-to-me-challenge I found called One-Layer Simplicity. Our guest DT Ardyth is this month's host!

I used my square nestabilities to cut the window in the center. Stamped my fun sentiment from Winnie &Walter in the window. Then on the front of the card, I doodled a little frame around it. And finished everything off with a button and some twine of course! One Layer Hello Recipe Cardstock: MFT sweet tooth Stamps: Winnie & Walter The Big, the Bold, and the Happy Ink: Hero Arts Orange Soda Accessories: square nestabilities; Copic Multiliner .3 black; aqua button; Hemptique yellow twine

Make sure you check in on our Facebook page, too!  There's TONS of new goodies from Lawn Fawn, Avery Elle and more.  Plus, we share news, updates, inspiration, and the occasional giveaway!

DT Day: Ardyth

I love this colorful card (and great use of background stamp) from our guest Ardyth.  Here's her post:

Here's my latest Guest DT creation for i {heart} papers. I had a lot of fun with some colours I don't use very often and a couple of stamp sets that, even though they come from different companies, work really well together.

This fun, bubbly background that I created carries on UNDER (CASology 111) the white popped-up circular panel. And UNDER the card (if it's lying down on the table) is a surprise - I stamped the background on the back too! No reason for the party to stop at the border of the front of the card!

Supplies:
Avery Elle: Brushed
Winnie & Walter: Big Bang Confetti
Memento Ink: Tuxedo BlackDandelion, Lilac Posies
Hero Arts Ink: Pale Tomato
LawnFawn: Circle dies
Dimensional dots
White Cardstock

DT Day: Vera

Hi everyone. Vera here. Today, I have a flowery card to share with you. I used to find working with flower stamps challenging. Until I saw Wplus9 Fresh Cut Floral set. That set pretty much open the way to my love of flower sets. So, it's no surprise that when they came out with Fresh Cut Containers, I have to add this set to my stash. And, I made this card:

For the focal point of my card I used Wplus9 Fresh Cut Containers with it's matching dies, mixing with sentiment from Wplus9 Strictly Sentiments 5. The pretty patterned paper is from Dear Lizzy Daydreamer 6x6 paper pad. And for a touch of festivity I added a few spotlight/disco gold sequins.

Hope you enjoy today's card. I plan to play with this gorgeous set a lot! Thank you so much for swinging by here. May your Thursday be a great one.

In case you missed it, all new Lawn Fawn is now available too!  See it here.  Make sure you check in on our Facebook page, too!  We share news, updates, inspiration, and the occasional giveaway!

Welcome Guest DT, Vicki Dutcher

Happy Labor Day, US friends!  Today we welcome our newest guest designer, Vicki Dutcher.

Here's her first project for us and what she has to say about herself.  Pop over to her blog and give her a warm IHP welcome!  And have a great day today!

Hi!  My name is Vicki Dutcher --  A little bit about me, I started stamping in 1996 for something to do while my son took his naps.  Once my neighbor took me to a Stampin Up party I was hooked.  Fast forward 5 years later when I found SCS and I became a serious addicted stamper.  I currently design for a few companies, along with being on a lot of challenge blog teams.  I probably average 20+ cards a week with my blog being aptly named, All I Do Is Stamp..  I love this hobby and the people I have met through it.  My husband and I live in hot, hot, hot Arizona and we love it here.  You can't beat 350 days of sunshine.

I would like to thank Tracy and Kate for giving  me the opportunity to Guest Designer for I {heart} papers for September & October.  I am looking forward to designing with the array of products the store offers.  Check out my blog, All I Do Is Stamp

I was thrilled to use this fun image from Hero Arts, Just Sayin Hi, along with another fun product, Hello from Echo Park.  I layered my Hello x3 for the added depth.

A few basic supplies I also used:
Memento Ink; Tangelo, Bamboo Leaves, Dandelion, from

I'll be popping in throughout the next couple of months using even more fun supplies from

i {heart} papers to make [what I hope] are cards that inspire you!
