DT Day: Lori

Hello, i {heart} papers fans! It?s Lori here with you today to share a kid-friendly Valentine's Day card made with stamps from Fresh Squeezed Stamps.

I used the pail and shovel from the A Punny Valentine set to make a simple beach scene. The images were colored with Copic markers and cut out. I used dimensional dots to put them in place on the background.

I used patterned paper from the Carta Bella Winter Fun paper pad for the top of the background panel. Even though the paper?s meant for winter projects, it was a perfect fit for my beach scene! The sand at the bottom of the panel is made with torn kraft cardstock strips rubbed with Memento Luxe Toffee Crunch and Wedding Dress inks. That?s my go-to technique when I need to make a sandy looking panel on a card.  I added the ?I dig you? sentiment at the top of the panel in red ink. It?s machine stitched across the top with red thread for a pop of color.

DT Day: Judy

Hello all i {heart} papers friends! Judy here today to share a fast and easy CAS design using something new!

Music has played an important part in my life in all sorts of ways, so when I saw this new CAS-Fridays Love Notes stamp set and Heart Note Fri-Die, I snatched it up right away!

I stamped my sentiment with Memento Lady Bug ink on Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock and added a sparkly little heart brad next to it. I chose a rainbow of colors and cut the Heart Note die using those seven colors. All layers are held together with 1/4" Scor-Tape.

And that's it! A cute little musical love note~!

DT Day: Sarah

Hello i {heart} papers fans! Sarah here today with something a little different, and a little vintage!

I've created a little tea holder card to share with you today, using lots of IHP goodies! The fab sentiment is Kettle On and I've used some gorgeous Authentique Renew papers (both on sale!)

I decorated with black sequins all in a row (stick them down with IHP red line tape!) I really like this sparkly border look!

Inside I've stamped the Royal Teapot image and used just part of the sentiment on the flap of a chevron bitty bag - a perfect place to stash a little herbal teabag. Wouldn't you love to receive a little pick me up like this?

Thanks for stopping by today, happy creating!

DT Day: Lindsay

Hello!  Lindsay here with you today sharing a fun card using some fabulous products found in the store!

I just love dies, and the Love die from Memory Box is the perfect scrolling font to add to your projects.  With Valentine's Day right around the corner, I thought it was perfect for my card.  I started with a white panel and stamped a few hearts from a fun set from Paper Smooches called Sweethearts.

After I stamped my collage of hearts with Hero Arts inks, I added my love die cut.  I die cut the word three times, and glued them together to get a raised look.  I then adhered it over my stamping and stamped just the You in black from the same stamp set.  To complete the card, I rounded the corners and adhered it to a black card base.

There are many fabulous dies in the store that would work with this technique, go check them out here!  Thanks so much for joining me today, have a great one!

DT Day: Vera

Hi everyone. Vera here today to share my i {heart} papers project.

My card making style tends to be CAS & cute. I often find it a challenge to do lots of layers. But, hey, now & then we have to embrace the challenge, right? So, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and create a card with quite a few layers, based on the current Reverse Confetti sketch.

And, here's my card:

For this card I used the patterned papers from Studio Calico Snippets 6x6 paper pad. The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti Count Your Rainbows set

And.... guess what?? Both items are currently on sale at the shop!! All Reverse Confetti sets are on sale for only $10 each and many of the 6x6 paper pads are on sale. But, you better hurry. Stock is limited.

I hope you enjoy today's card. With winter CHA going on  this weekend, are there any items that you'd like to see the store to carry? Drop us a line and let us know. Thank you all so much for stopping by here.

DT Day: Tracy

Welcome to Design Team Day, where we're featuring new projects from the DT that you will see here only!  So, today we've got a post from Tracy!  She's using some cute Paper Smooches stamps and if you didn't see on our Facebook page, the January release is ready for you!  Have a look!

I couldn't resist this new set from Paper Smooches called We Totally Click. I think the images and sentiments are so fun! I made a clean and simple card using this week's Retro Sketch as inspiration. I dug out my much-loved white pen for the base layer. Then added some cork, twine, and a trio of staples.

I made a little focal point for my image by repeatedly stamping the sentiment and then highlighting one in black. Then popped my pen image up over that. It's a fun card that could work for so many occasions!
We Click Recipe Cardstock: PTI kraft; MFT sweet tooth; corkstock Stamps: Paper Smooches We Totally Click Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Palette L'Amour Red Accessories: Paper Smooches Click Icons die, Inkssentials white pen, Natural Twine string thread, staples, dimensionals

Guest Designer for January & February - Suzanne Dahlberg

Happy New Year!! Our year is off to a terrific start, as today we are thrilled to welcome the sweet and talented Suzanne Dahlberg as our guest designer!! Suzanne has designed for many of our favorite companies, and her clean style of stamping is just stunning! And, well, we have to admit that we LOVE the photo she sent for this post, of her and her adorable dog! She wanted to share this photo because she knows how important dogs are to us. Love that!

We asked Suzanne to introduce herself, here's what she had to say:

Hi everyone! I am super excited to be joining i {heart} papers this month - many thanks to Kate for having me! Here is a little bit about me: by day I work as an oncology research biostatistician focusing on lung cancer, and I spend as much time as I can at my craft table at night. I live in the Boston area with my husband and our dog, and also enjoy traveling, snowshoeing and cooking. I've been making cards for friends and family for nearly 10 years, and share my creations on my blog.

And now Suzanne's blog post with her GORGEOUS card to celebrate the new year...

_DSC0003 Happy New Year, everyone! I am kicking 2014 off with some fun and happy news - for the months of January and February, I will be a guest designer at i {heart} papers thanks to Kate and Tracy! I am so thankful for this chance to work alongside some of the sweetest people...if you haven't checked out their store, please do! They offer the latest and greatest stamps, dies, and other goodies, and they have such awesome customer service. _DSC0007 Since my first guest post is on New Year's Day, I had to make a New Year's card - I opted to stamp Lawn Fawn's alphabet set, Milo's ABCs, in Memento tuxedo black ink to make my own sentiment. The polka dotted paper comes from My Mind's Eye's Cupid's Arrow 6x6 pad. I also used several dies from Paper Smooches: Borders 2, Snowflake Dies and Always & Forever. You may notice that I cut the single snowflake shape multiple times from glitter paper, but then I used some circle punches to shrink them in size before using the Quickie Glue Pen to adhere them to the front and inside of the card: _DSC0010 Thanks very much for stopping by today! Happy New Year to you and your families - have a wonderful day!
