Congrats on your new home!

I adore this little house image, New Home, from Chicken Girl’s June Collection.  And I love making shaped cards, so this was a win/win idea.  I printed the image on Copic Heavyweight paper and colored it with my Copics.  Then I used Classic Scalloped Petite Borderabilities to make the trim.  Isn’t it cute??
Thanks for stopping by today!  I’ll be back on Friday with a Five Minute Friday card!

Mint Motif sponsors 2Sketches4You

Hello!  Today (well, this week) we’re sponsoring the 2Sketches4You challenge (using Mint Motif).  So for my take on the sketch I used Very Square and Very Square Sentiments, both stamped in Palette Prussian Blue on Copic Medium Weight paper.  I used my Labels 8 Nesties for the frames and finishing it off with some light blue silk ribbon and some Frosted Lace Stickles on the clouds.

I have reordered  both of these sets since inventory was getting low, so on the chance that they sell out on you please click the restock notify button and you’ll get a notice as soon as they’re back in stock.

Also, be sure to check the sale page on the store.  I’ve marked down over 750 items dramatically to help clear out things and make room for the new goodies I’ll be ordering at CHA next month (eeek!!!).  So, don’t miss out.  Almost everything is last chance and when it is gone, that’s it!  I’ve got lots of 12x12 papers down as low as 25 cents a sheet and tons of stamps including Hero Arts, Inkadinkado and more!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you’ll play along.  If you do, please leave me a comment and don’t forget to add your link to their Mr. Linky!  See you again soon!

Five Minute Friday: Summer Garden Meets Happy Harvest

Happy Friday!  Are you loving Tracy’s new set, Summer Garden?  I know I am!  And, I especially love that the sentiments and images can mix and match with her previous set, Happy Harvest.  For today’s card I did just that!  I used the sunflowers from Happy Harvest and paired it with the teacup from Summer Garden.  They’re stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics and cut out with my circle Nesties.  I used some paper from Nook and Pantry and finished it off by folding over a piece of brown crochet trim.  It’s normally 1-1/2” which was too wide for my 4-1/2” square card so I just folded it over!

I hope you have a great weekend!  It’s supposed to be another scorcher here in NJ!  Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Garden Release!

Hello! Today is release day for The Petal Press set Summer Garden! Yippee!!

The set is made by the top photopolymer manufacturer in the industry and is only $10!

As you can see, just like in Tracy’s previous set, Happy Harvest, the words are all separate stamps so you can arrange them as you like. AND, the fonts in Summer Garden are the same as Happy Harvest, so you can mix and match! I’ll have some samples showing you that later on.

For my card I used Oval Nesties for the focal image, stamped on Copic Heavyweight paper, in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. I used a strip of Capella paper, wrapped with a piece of ivory faux suede ribbon. The background was created using Flower Impressabilities (on sale now!). The jar has a little coating of Glossy Accents on it for some extra depth.

I hope you’re loving this set as much as I am! I can’t wait to show you some mix and match samples I’ve made. (Hint…check back for Five Minute Friday!)

Five Minute Friday: Summer Garden Peonies

Happy, happy Friday!  Today I have a quick card using Tracy’s new Petal Press set releasing on Wednesday, Summer Garden.  I stamped the jar and flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored with my Copics.  I used my Oval Nesties for the focal piece and Labels 8 to cut a piece from the Porcelain collection.  Then I finished it off with a white satin bow and some Glossy Accents on the jar.

That’s it!  I hope you have a lovely Father’s Day weekend.  The weather is going to be gorgeous here!  See you next week!  Don’t forget…blog candy is going on now.  Leave comments on all the Petal Press posts during this sneak peek week for your chance to win.  The more you comment, the more chances to win!  See this post for all the links.

Summer Garden: Petal Press Sneak Peek

Hello! As I mentioned yesterday during the DT Challenge, today begins the sneak peeks of Summer Garden, the newest release from Tracy’s stamp line, The Petal Press. The set has this fantastic little strawberry bunch and I wanted to make a flower pot of berries. So I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black several times, colored them with Copics and cut them out. I adhered three of the across the top of my pot (on top of my Classic Scalloped Petite Borderabilities edge…the holes are filled in with Frosted Lace Stickles) using i {stick} papers. Then I arranged the other three on my pocket card so. The berries are touched with some Ruby Slippers Stickles for a little sparkle. I finished it off with by stamping the greeting in Palette Noir. Just like in Tracy’s previous set, Happy Harvest, the words are all separate stamps so you can arrange them as you like. AND, the fonts in Summer Garden are the same as Happy Harvest, so you can mix and match! I wrapped the whole pot with a small piece of white satin ribbon, also adhered with i {stick} papers redline tape.

Be sure to check the rest of the DT today to see their amazing projects! The release for this set will be next Wednesday, June 23rd. Tracy will be having peeks all week between now and then.

As normal, the set will be $10, top quality clear photopolymer, clear stamp set.

BLOG CANDY ALERT!!! I will be drawing a blog candy winner from all the comments posted on all of the DT blogs on any Petal Press project during sneak peek week, starting today. So...the more you comment, the greater your chances at winning! And that includes Tracy's additional posts all week long.

Getting “Krafty” and A Petal Press Announcement

Oh boy! You’re going to have back to back IHP excitement. First, today is our monthly DT Challenge and tomorrow we begin sneak peeking the latest Petal Press set from Tracy Schultz called Summer Garden. The Petal Press is BACK (after a brief hiatus) and this new set is the perfect summer set! It is sweet and elegant and even coordinates with some elements from Happy Harvest! So , if you’ve got that one then you’re definitely going to want this one! Best of all (for me), all the flowers are allergy free!

AND...in case you haven't seen the new SCS Dirty Dozen gallery...BOTH of the new additions are IHP girls! I am SO excited and SO proud to extend congratulations to Cathleen and Tiff!

With the new release we are also welcoming some new DT faces. They will all have sneak peek samples tomorrow and there will be blog candy up for grabs so be sure to stop by and comment on all of their blogs for your multiple chances to win both tomorrow and on release day, June 23.

Please join me in welcoming (or welcoming back) the team and I hope you stop by tomorrow to see their amazing creations! (Note: Tracy will have projects posted all week long leading up to the release.)

And now…onto today’s Getting “Krafty” DT Challenge! The challenge was to create a project using some of the awesome kraft papers/supplies available, like the Jillibean Soup printed kraft papers or the new Basic Grey Basics Kraft (or Manila) pads – just to name a few! Here is my card:

I used some Jillibean Soup White Macaroni paper and, in honor of Tracy’s new release tomorrow, I broke out one of her old sets, Sleigh Ride (on sale now because it is Christmas set!), and made my very first Christmas card of the year! Woo-hoo! I’m ahead of the game! I stamped it in Memento Black on Copic Heavyweight cardstock, colored it with Copics, cut it out with my Circle Nesties and then went over the sleigh with Crackle Accents and added some Rock Candy and Pine Stickles to the filler. I stamped the greeting in Palette Noir and then went over it with Palette L’Amour Red for a little shadow effect to make it stand out more against the background. I used the Jumbo Scalloped Petite Borderabilities to create my top piece and added some Sparkle Gems. I finished it off with a luscious red silk bow.

Be sure to visit the rest of the Core DT to see their projects. And, if you’d like to play along, please tag your project ihp0610 in your SCS or PCP galleries so we can find it! Be sure to leave a comment with your blog link if you play along too!

Five Minute Friday: All My Love

I am SO glad it is Friday.  Let me repeat.  SO GLAD.

I’ve had a lot of things going on, some in preparation for some big news next week but most dealing with our very sick dog, Mr. Barbo.  He’s not been feeling well since Tuesday and has kept us up every night so I’m pretty underslept and thoroughly exhausted.  He’s on some meds now and hopefully we’ll see a fast improvement!

I used my Mint Motif  Very Square and Very Square Sentiments (stamped in Palette Noir and Seascape) with my Square Nesties and then used an old envelope template to cut the little envelope from some vellum.  I layered it on a scrap of Lime Rickey paper from when I made this card.  I colored a white button with my Copics, finished it off with some white stain ribbon and that’s it!

I’m too sleepy to be chatty so I’ll just say thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Chicken Girl Release: World’s Best Dad

Hello! It’s Chicken Girl release day here at IHP! And I am SO excited about this month’s release! I think I say this every month but I really, really mean it. I mean, look at these images! They are available individually for $2.50 or as the complete June Collection for a discounted price of $8.50.
For my card today I used another sketch from PC’s Go To Sketches magazine and the new World’s Best Dad digi, printed on Copic Heavyweight cardstock and colored with my Copics. Then I used my Rectangle Nesties and added some yellow faux suede ribbon to make it look like a little medal.
The DP is from Marrakech. I covered a button from my stash with some i {stick} papers so it would match and used some jute

twine on the button.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT today to see their projects! Christy

Thanks for stopping by today! Sorry I’ve been a bad blogger this week. It’s been insanely busy and I’ve been nursing a sick doggy who got into some stuff he shouldn’t have and now he (and WE) are paying the price. I’ll spare you the icky details. You’ll thank me – trust me. :)
I’ll be back (hopefully) tomorrow with a Five Minute Friday card if I can steal 5 minutes in the studio later today!
Have a great day!

Bloomin’ Fabulous: OCLDT16

Happy Saturday!  I have a big weekend of house cleaning and stamping ahead of me in preparation for some big releases later this month.  But, for today’s card I played along with this week’s OCL sketch using Pretty Petals and Say It With Flowers.  I stamped the flowers in Palette Orangerie and then colored them using my Copics.  I added some Stickles around the edges for a little bit of extra sparkle.  The DP is from SEI’s Happy Day line and I used my Flower Impressabilities to create the white background and then finished everything off with a big white bow!

I hope you get a chance to play along.  Be sure to add your link to their post for your chance to win if you do play along.

Have a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Five Minute Friday: So Sweet

It’s FRIDAY!  Yippee!  I have a super quick card today for Five Minute Friday using the fruit slice from Fruity Family Felties and one of my favorite sentiments from Very Square Sentiments, stamped in Palette Orangerie.  I used my Copics to color the bling to match the orange sheer ruffled ribbon.  That’s it!  Tada!  Clean, simple and cute!

Did you see that Mint Motif got reviewed on The Scrap Review?  Yippee!

There are some recent Unity additions to the store, including the Priceless Reflections scrapbooking collection that was recently featured in one the recent Paper Crafts publications.  Be sure to check out the new section of the store to see the new goodies!

Have a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by today!  I’ll be back again soon!

Mint Motif: Birthday Wishes Squares

Hello!  Happy hump day!  I have a quick little card for you today using the Mint Motif sets, Very Square and Very Square Sentiments.   Did you realize that all of these sentiments were designed to fit perfectly inside these squares?  Yup!  They were!  So, just a tip for you, in case you didn’t realize that!

I inked up the squares with Palette Claret ink, used my Small Square Nesties to cut them out and then layered them on a piece of white with the edges cut with Big Scalloped Petite Borderabilities.  I covered the holes it die-cuts with the squares and then free hand punched the holes in the scallops.

The greeting is stamped in Palette Noir and the flowers are these dyeable tulle flowers.  They come with that rhinestone in the middle already.  :)

That’s it for today!  Have a great day!  I’ll see you on Friday for Five Minute Friday!
