DT Challenge: Pile It On

IHP0712Hello!  Today is our monthly DT Challenge and since CHA is going on and I’m in my crazy ordering frenzy (plus packing  zillions of orders from the amazing pre-CHA Clearance sale that’s going on) we decided that using up lots of current product was a good theme for the month.

On Saturday I helped some friends adopt a new dog from the rescue group I volunteer with and I wanted to send them a little something to congratulate them on their new addition!
So, I put together this little gift box of Buddy’s Biscuits using a clear bard box, papers from the Echo Park Woof mini collection and Paper Smooches Birthday Buddies & last month’s Qwick Qwips (love that set!).  I stamped everything in Memento ink (rich cocoa, canteloupe, rhubarb stalk and Paris dusk), colored the dog with Copics and used the Classic Ric Rac edgeabilities to create the border edge.  Finally I finished it off with some ivory twine, my favorite dimensional dots (used the tiny squares on the ears and they were perfect!) and some Glossy Accents on his little eyeball.  I used my Scor-Buddy to make sure the wrap on the card box was all lined up and folded crisply.  (I scored it after both layers of paper were die cut and stuck together.)

This is the perfect gift for a new pet owner. I know Chloe would love something like this--those treats wouldn't last too long around here . ..
