September Guest DT: Welcome Amy Sheffer!

i {heart}papers is so excited to welcome Amy Sheffer as our guest designer this month!  Read a little about her, in her own words:

Hi! My name is Amy Sheffer, and I'm excited to be guest designing for i{heart}papers!  A little about me ... I am married to a wonderful husband of almost 19 years, and together we have three children, two boys and a girl.  I am a stay-at-home mom with a professional background in publishing: newspaper reporting, magazine editing and production, as well as internet/online content development.

I've been dabbling in anything and everything artsy and crafty most of my life, so when a friend introduced me to scrapbooking in the late '90s and then rubber stamping in 2002, I was instantly hooked both times.  I started blogging my stamped creations almost five years ago and was thrilled to connect with a whole community of crafty kindred spirits.  Stamping has been a big part of my life ever since, and I'm especially grateful for the friends I've made along the way.  I'm honored to have served on several design teams and to have had my work published in stamping and paper-crafting magazines as well.

I consider my style a bit eclectic (sounds so much better than "all over the place").  Vintage, cutesy, elegant, whimsical -- I like to try it all. I'm usually happiest, though, with designs that have lots of layers and embellishments, plus a little element or two of something unexpected.

When I'm not stamping or hanging out with my family, I enjoy photography, good fiction, gardening, decorating, DIY home improvement, and, lately, documenting everyday life using the Project Life scrapbooking system.

I look forward to sharing my i{heart}papers creations with you this month.  A big thanks to Kate for this opportunity!

We are all looking forward to having you with us this month, Amy!

Don't forget - you still have until this evening to add our blinkie to your blog!  See all the details, including what you could win, in the original post!

Welcoming a New Design Team Member!

Welcome to Friday everyone!  This week we're welcoming a new team member - read on for some thoughts from Kate!

"I am thrilled to announce that Judy Rozema will be going the core IHP DT beginning today!  With Loretta’s departure, I felt that we needed to add someone else to help keep the team balanced.  Judy and I go waaaaayyyyy back - way back to the beginning of my stamping career, over 10 years ago.  She was actually on my Stampin’ Up! downline and was one of my very first recruits but we wouldn’t meet until years later when I opened IHP and we had a chance to meet in person at CHA.

We share our birthday week, a love of music and of course, a love of stamping.  Please help me welcome her to the team by stopping over to her blog or her Facebook page and leaving her a comment. (Trust me…you want to stop by and leave her a comment!)"

Here’s a little bit of what Judy has to say about herself:

“My name is Judy Rozema.  I live in Central Nebraska, in Cornhusker country, and have been married for 30 years.  I have a daughter who is a sophomore in college, and a married son who is a pastor and lives in North Carolina.  Two dogs (labs) and a 17 year old water turtle round out our family.  During the school year, I am a part-time elementary music teacher.  When I'm not stamping, I enjoy watching movies, crocheting, and going on junk jaunts!  I also spend time in the community theater in my town, as an actress and director of musicals and plays.  You might know me on Splitcoaststampers as StampingQueenJAR.  I hope you will stop by my blog, Joy in a JAR, or my craft page on Facebook by for a visit!   I am thrilled and delighted to be a part of the i {heart} papers Design Team!”

Welcome to the team, Judy!

Birthdays With Paper Smooches

Hi everyone, it's Taylor here today sharing a couple of cute birthday cards Kate made recently, using some Paper Smooches stamps! Ready to see the cuteness?
darrenbday
Here's what Kate said about this fun card: "I needed a quick birthday card for a friend’s party.  Since we were giving him an Amazon gift card for his Kindle, I thought this would be a cute idea.  I printed the Amazon logo on cardstock,  colored the arrow with a Copic marker and than stamped the tablet over top, so the logo was perfectly sandwiched."

And her supply list:  Xpress Copic Paper, Paper Smooches Teen Routine, Birthday Buddies & Qwick Qwips , Divine Twine Black Licorice, Lemon Yellow and Oyster Grey, A2 Polka Dot folder, Memento inks, Glossy Accents & Dimensional Dots
