DT Challenge: Use it up!

Hi there!  I’ve got another Summer Garden and Happy Harvest sample for you today for our DT Challenge.  As you probably can tell from the sale page, I’m trying to sell off a lot of items in preparation for CHA next week (eek!).  So, this month for the DT challenge they were asked to use up some of their stash – to show off what great things you can make with last year’s stuff!

For my card I stamped the peonies/roses from Summer Garden in Memento Tuxedo Black on Copic Heavyweight paper, colored  them with Copics and cut them.  Then I stamped the hurricane lamp from Happy Harvest and surrounded it with the roses.  I made a little cheater bow from some Pink Herringbone ribbon (love this stuff!).  The DP is from the Porcelain Collection and I used my Jumbo Scalloped Petite Borderabilities for the luscious big scallops.  I also added some little pearls at each valley of the scallops.

I used my Oval Nesties for the focal image and that is laid over some White Crochet ribbon that I dyed with my Copics.

I love the greeting (stamped in Palette Toile Pink) and how it curves over the top of the focal image.  You can easily do this because each of the words is its own stamp in both Summer Garden and Happy Harvest and the fonts are the same so they are meant to coordinate so you have more phrase possibilities.

Be sure to check the rest of the team for their inspiring creations:
