DT Challenge: New goodies!

Hello!  I finally stamped a project!  Can you believe it?  Well, it’s time for our monthly IHP DT Challenge and this month we’re featuring new goodies since there are so many new things in the new section of the store.  Wow…how many times can I say new during this blog post?  *grin*

I used the Joyful Snowman set from Market Street Stamps.  This is one of the new lines I picked up after CHA and right now I am the only retailer selling them (besides MSS themselves) in the US.  How exciting is that?  I stamped him in Memento black and colored his nose with Copics.  I popped him and the greeting up on Sticky Thumb dimensionals.   Did you see my video on how awesome those things are?  You can see it here.

I used a Lifestyle Crafts A2 Snowflake embossing folder for the background and sprayed it with new Summer Sky Fireworks.   It didn’t photograph very well but here’s a close-up.  If you look really closely you can see a very light blue shimmer.  In real life, it’s gorgeous.  These Fireworks coordinate with the all  the Memento colors.

Finally I added some torn vellum and dazzled the edges (and the scarf) with some Icicle Stickles.  Clean, simple and cute!  I hope you’ll hop along to see what the rest of the team has in store for you!

Five Minute Friday: Make A Wish

Hello!  Long time no blogging, right?  Wow…thanks for sticking with me.  All these deliveries have been unbelievably time consuming to get into the store and then the orders!  You sure do love new stuff!  *grin*

So, I FINALLY got a very brief stint in my studio this week…just enough time to throw together this little ensemble.  No stamping.  That’s why it was 5 minutes.  :)  It’s all stickers and paper from the new Country Drive Collection Pack from Echo Park.   I used i {stick} papers to adhere to polka dot paper to the jar.  It’s a little gift for a dear friend of mine in NC.  The cookies are her favorite from a local NJ bakery by me, so I stopped and got a pound of them and put this together and dropped it in the mail for her!

So, anyway, there you have it!  Have a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping in!  And, don’t forget to check the new section of the store.  I’ll be back on Tuesday with our monthly DT Challenge

Wow…I’ve been MIA.

I just crawled out from under my rock…err…CHA deliveries and realized I haven’t blogged in about 2 weeks.  Well, there’s a good reason for it…I haven’t stamped at all!  Isn’t that awful?  It’s for a good reason – LOTS of CHA arrivals, almost 200 in the new section of the store means lots of website work getting all those new goodies online and then that results in lots of orders.  Luckily for you, my priority is getting those orders out over my own stamping sanity.  So…that’s my excuse.

Do you forgive me?  I’ll try to get into the studio this week but in the meantime, don’t forget you can always visit my fabulous design team.  They’ve been busy blogging with lots of new goodies, so check them out!

Five Minute Friday: Father’s Day: Mint Motif style

Oh gosh…I just realized I never posted this Father’s Day card!  Oops!  I’m a little behind I guess!

Well, here it is!  I used Beyond Borders stamped in Palette ink to make the pattern on the left and then tied a sailor’s knot, using this animated tutorial, from white hemp rope and adhered it with some i {stick} papers and then stamped the father’s day greeting from my stash.

Thanks for stopping in today!  Sorry I’ve been a little MIA…the CHA deliveries and ensuing influx of orders have really been sucking my time – and that’s a good thing!  But, it means I’m a bad blogger.   Forgive me?

Have a great weekend!

DT Challenge: Beat the Heat

Hello!  This month’s challenge “Beat the Heat” was to create a project with cool colors and/or as few layers as possible.  So…here’s what I came up with using Birthday Wishes and a teeny bit of Country Drive paper.  I stamped in Palette inks, colored with Copics and used my rectangle Nesties.  And I popped up everything with my new favorite dimensional dots from Sticky Thumb.  (If you missed my video on them, check Saturday’s post.)

I also added a Zva gem and some Turquoise Stickles for some shimmer.  Oh!  And the Tim Holtz Swirls embossing folder.  Speaking of embossing, did you see the new No More Shims mat is in stock?  Get it.  NOW.  :)

Quick and easy card!  Now, go check out the new section of the store because there are LOTS of CHA goodies and check out the rest of the DT hop:

Introducing First Edition papers and Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

Here’s a little video for you to show you the new First Edition paper pads and Sticky Thumb dimensional dots.  Just note, the second time I say Cosmo, when I’m talking about die-cuts in the paper pads, I *meant* Kaiser (an that’s the pad I’m showing you!)  Oops!

Have a great weekend!

Hip Hopping with Unity

Hello! Today the IHP DT is Hip Hopping along with the Unity Design Team. So be sure to check all their blogs for fabulous projects showcasing Unity!

In celebration of this little hop, ALL full-sized kits are $12 or less! But, there is VERY limited inventory and these past kits will not be restocked so don’t wait or you might miss your chance to get them at this price.

For my card today I used a new Itty Bitty, Silver Lining with paper from the new Authentique pad, Uncommon. I popped up the clouds with the BEST dimensional dots I’ve used, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots. They come in an assorted pack of 442 dots, all different sizes and are super, duper sticky. Really. I love these dots. I stamped the clouds and greeting in Palette Charcoal and then added some Zva bling around the vellum Oval Nesties saying.

Be sure to check the rest of the IHP DT and the Unity DT to see all their projects:
