Happy Bee-Day for Dee

Here’s a happy little card!  Hap Bee Day stamped on Circle Nesties in Memento, colored with Copics and Stickles and then some yellow silk ribbon over Lauderdale paper.

I think that’s it for me today.  I’ve got a TON of orders to pack so everything can ship out on Monday.  I’ll still be popping into Facebook for the rest of the night to see who is uploading and creating over there, so I hope you’ll join me!

WCMD 2011 #2

Wow!  You guys LOVE my 20% off coupon!  I’m so happy!  IN between order packing I’m making cards for World Card Making Day.

I used some more Echo Park The Apothecary Emporium paper new Halloween Divine Twine for this card.  It’s actually pretty simple.   And *I* distressed.  Aren’t you impressed?  It’s so not my thing but this card needed it.  I even sponged the edges with some Memento ink.  :)

I’m crafting (and packing orders!) today for World Card Making Day!  I hope you are too!

For my first card I used Erin Lee’s sketch with some Echo Park The Apothecary Emporium paper and ChickenGirl Design Happy Halloween set.   I curved the greeting on my block to fit on the Circle Nesties (stamped in Memento) and used Labels 8 for my background.  Then I used my new Scallop Edgeabilities, some Hero Arts bling, new Halloween Divine Twine and my Copics.

Five Minute Friday: Joyful Snowman

Hello!  I’m back for a quick card using the Market Street Stamps Joyful Snowman.  I stamped it in Memento ink directly on some Echo Park Country Drive paper and then added some pink, orange and icicle Stickles as accents.  I finished it off with some awesome new self-adhesive ivory lace tape.  I LOVE this stuff.  LOVE. 

NEW_WCMD_2009 Anyway, that’s it!  Tomorrow (Saturday) is World Card Making Day.  I’ll be doing random giveaways on Facebook and it’s the start of our Birthday Bash kickoff, so be sure to check in either here or on Facebook so you don’t miss out on any of the festivities!

Sheer Flower Pull Ribbon

Just a quick note to let you know that the shopping cart software behind the scenes backend at the store is being upgraded today. There may be some downtime or slowness. as a result.

Operation Julie’s Smile

Many may know that a few weeks ago, Julie Ranae had to have emergency oral surgery resulting in the removal of her two front teeth. The dentist at that time believed the best course of action would be to remove the rest of her teeth and replace them with permanents. (as to avoid *years* of dental work) Relieved at finding a solution to this major dental problem .. she visited the office for dental surgery the week. Unfortunately, it wasn't the visit she was expecting. After the consultation and scheduling the surgery, the surgeon's office informed her that she would need to bring $4000 back to the appointment with her and they would proceed. This amount would not include the dentures to follow.

Here Julie is today, sitting without front teeth that were pulled with the belief that they would be replaced immediately.  It is an overwhelming experience for our dear friend and one that I hope our creative community can help with.

There will be a benefit blog hop called 'Operation Julie's Smile'
that will take place Oct 7-9.  There are a variety of companies (including yours truly!) and design teams who will be participating in this hop to help raise funds for this benefit.

So far, over $1000 in prizes have been made available (including an i {heart} papers gift certificate!) and will be awarded for both participants and those who donate.

Operation Julie's Smile is now asking for designers/teams who would like to be a part  of the benefit hop.

The deadline to be a part of the hop is Wednesday, Sept 28th.  Participants will be notified of the blog hop order between Oct 3rd-5th.

This blog hop is an opportunity to have fun, feature your blog and raise money for a friend in need. 

A donation button will be made available to all who participate.

Every little bit helps and each donation that comes in makes it possible for Julie to regain a true smile.
